TCTO Recognizes 636 Dean’s Listers in Crème de la Crème Program To recognize the academic achievements of the Dean's listers for the previous semester, the Crème de la Crème Program was held yesterday, November 27, at the Henry V. Kong Gymnasium. A total of 636 students from the different colleges made it to the Dean's list. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Alcyn R. Bakkang, delivered a powerful message to the honorees, acknowledging the importance of their hard work and determination in achieving excellence. His words of encouragement are a source of motivation for the students to continue striving for improvement and success. Among the remarkable Dean's Listers was Ms. Mhel-Yanie M. Rizal (College of Arts and Sciences), who shared an inspiring message. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her family and everyone who supported her throughout her journey. Her words are a powerful reminder of the importance of support and perseverance in achieving our dreams. Meanwhile, Ms. Fatima Nur-Raquish Baybayan (College of Fisheries) emphasized the importance of determination in achieving good grades. With the number of academic achievers, the University reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and creating more opportunities for the students. In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. ₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro
Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
