OIL conducts the 𝟯rd Balik TCTO Series: Let's Go Back, Let's Give Back

The Office of International Linkages held its 3rd "Balik TCTO Series: Let's Go Back, Let's Give Back" on May 16 at the Maas Kamlon Hall.

This program highlighted the learning and experiences of returning faculty, students, and staff of the University, who availed of the international programs.

The speakers shared remarkable experiences from their academic programs and talked about their journey and success story to inspire colleagues, students, and alumni. Among the speakers were Asst. Prof. Calvin Caliat (SEARCA 2023, IBP, Indonesia); Mrs. Relita L. Musa (ATU-Net 2023, International DataHack for Sustainability, Bangkok, Thailand); and mr. Nurmukin A. Usman (YSEALI Fellow 2019, USA/MinYLP 2023, New Zealand).

The OIC Director, Atty. Datu Esma Mikee P. Maruhom, expressed his gratitude to the administration for their full support and encouraged other faculty and staff to actively participate in the upcoming program.

The Office of International Linkages looks forward to having more constituents of the University to apply for academic programs, international programs, and opportunities.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
