MSU-TCTO is proud to announce that Asst. Prof. Aljemedin S. Jaudinez, a distinguished faculty member of the College of Education, has been designated as the new Director of Sama Studies Center. This designation, effective immediately, is made through Special Order No. 062-OC, series of 2025.

Having dedicated several years to the advancement of educational initiatives within the University, Asst. Prof. Jaudinez's leadership and commitment to cultural preservation and academic excellence are expected to drive the Sama Studies Center to new heights.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.

MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Strengthening its commitment to community development and sustainable livelihoods, Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) on February 5, 2026, at the DBP Head Office in Makati City.
