MSU-TCTO forges partnership with UTHM, announces commencement of faculty studies program this year

In a significant step to further internationalization efforts, MSU-TCTO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia UTHM today, February 12. Organized by the UTHM's Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, the MOU was signed by Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali and Prof. Ts. Rabiah Ahmad, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation.

The MOU signing was witnessed by UTHM senior officials Prof. Sr. Ts. Dr. Mr. Lokman Hakim Hj. Ismael, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mr. Fawzi Mohd. Ali, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategy and Quality; and Prof. Associate Dr. Mohamad Zaky Noh, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. The Chancellor's delegation included Director Alnasul K. Sali, Chief-of-staff; Asst. Prof. Kartini R. Tahir, Director for International Linkages; and Assoc. Prof. Rosalio Artes, International Affairs Officer.

The Chancellor likewise announced the enrollment for graduate studies of College of Fisheries faculty members Ms. Normina Abubakar, who will be taking up a masteral degree in Food Technology by this February; and Mr. Marhamin Jumsali, who will be enrolling in a masteral degree in Food Microbiology by October. Both will be enrolled in courses with electives in Halal Science.

The Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia is one of the top public universities of Malaysia located in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia.
