MSU-TCTO Embarks on Global Education Journey at Strategic Internationalization Workshop

The MSU-TCTO Office of International Linkages hosted the "Navigating Global Horizon" Strategic Internationalization Planning (SIP) Workshop from April 1–3, 2024.

Prominent speakers from MSU-ILIGAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, including Prof. Gaudencio Petalcorin Jr., the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Joey Genevieve Martinez, the Vice Chancellor for International Affairs, and Mr. James Laranjo from the Office of International Affairs, facilitated the workshop.

This workshop was specifically designed to facilitate the creation of the MSU-TCTO SIP document, which is crucial for guiding the planning and implementation of MSU-TCTO internationalization programs.

Vice Chancellors, Deans, Internationalization Coordinators, different heads of semi academic units, and selected personnel who are alumni of foreign institutions and international programs from MSU-TCTO actively participated in this collaborative event, underscoring the shared commitment to enhancing global engagement and fostering international partnerships within the institution.

Through engaging discussions and strategic sessions, the workshop aimed to lay the foundation for cohesive and impactful international initiatives at MSU-TCTO, setting the stage for a successful path forward in the realm of global education and collaboration.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
