In celebration of its Emerald Year, the Mindanao State University-Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) held its Employeesโ€™ Night with the theme "Bollywood Night" on September 8, 2024, at the Henry V. Kong Gymnasium.

Vice Chancellor Murphy S. Unaid delivered his welcome message and highlighted the Universityโ€™s growth and progress under the leadership of Chancellor Guinto-Sali.

โ€œRemember this night and cherish it, for it will become a cherished memory of MSU-TCTO. In its 55 years, MSU-TCTO has become more vibrant, responsive, and relevant than ever before.โ€

VC Unaid also expressed his excitement for the event, as the employees will showcase their talents and skills in a fun and entertaining way.

โ€œTonight, we shall be witnessing the hidden talents and skills of our employees. This evening, we will showcase their prowess beyond the confines of their desks. They will twirl without their swivel chairs and move with grace and fun.โ€

The event highlighted the month-long celebration of the Emerald Year. Employees were divided into clusters to compete in the Corner Contest and the Bollywood Dance Contest. The clusters showcased their unique designs fitting this yearโ€™s theme and demonstrated various choreographies and graceful performances during the dance competition.

The winners of the contests were as follows:

Corner Contest:1.

1st Place: Cluster 22.

2nd Place: Cluster 53.

3rd Place: Cluster 6

Bollywood Dance Contest:

1. 1st Place: Cluster 6

2. 2nd Place: Cluster 3

3. 3rd Place: Cluster 2

The event fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among MSU-TCTO employees, underscoring the Universityโ€™s commitment to a cohesive and supportive work environment.

The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region.
