MSU-TCTO Celebrates Employees' Bollywood Night

𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗧𝗖𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀’ 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

In celebration of its Emerald Year, the Mindanao State University-Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) held its Employees’ Night with the theme "Bollywood Night" on September 8, 2024, at the Henry V. Kong Gymnasium.

Vice Chancellor Murphy S. Unaid delivered his welcome message and highlighted the University’s growth and progress under the leadership of Chancellor Guinto-Sali.

“Remember this night and cherish it, for it will become a cherished memory of MSU-TCTO. In its 55 years, MSU-TCTO has become more vibrant, responsive, and relevant than ever before.”

VC Unaid also expressed his excitement for the event, as the employees will showcase their talents and skills in a fun and entertaining way.

“Tonight, we shall be witnessing the hidden talents and skills of our employees. This evening, we will showcase their prowess beyond the confines of their desks. They will twirl without their swivel chairs and move with grace and fun.”

The event highlighted the month-long celebration of the Emerald Year. Employees were divided into clusters to compete in the Corner Contest and the Bollywood Dance Contest. The clusters showcased their unique designs fitting this year’s theme and demonstrated various choreographies and graceful performances during the dance competition.

The winners of the contests were as follows:

Corner Contest:1.

1st Place: Cluster 22.

2nd Place: Cluster 53.

3rd Place: Cluster 6

Bollywood Dance Contest:

1. 1st Place: Cluster 6

2. 2nd Place: Cluster 3

3. 3rd Place: Cluster 2

The event fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among MSU-TCTO employees, underscoring the University’s commitment to a cohesive and supportive work environment.

MSU TCTO Chancellor Recognized as the 1st Recipient in the Bangsamoro of AACCUP’s Highest Distinction

In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. ₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.

MSU TCTO, Development Bank of the Philippines Partner to Boost Livelihoods of Tawi-Tawi Farmers and Fisherfolk

MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Strengthening its commitment to community development and sustainable livelihoods, Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) on February 5, 2026, at the DBP Head Office in Makati City.
