MSU-TCTO and MSU IIT Join Forces for Strategic Planning and Institutional Growth In collaboration with the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU IIT), MSU Tawi-Tawi conducted a transformative three-day Foresight-Driven Strategic Planning Workshop from February 21-23 at Integrated Fisheries Training Center.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Wilham M. Hailaya delivered his welcome message, highlighting the importance of strategic planning at the University. He underlined the need for planning leading the University toward a sustainable future.

The workshop was attended by head officials, faculty members, staff, and students to collaboratively craft a shared vision for the University’s future. Through a foresight-driven approach, the discussions incorporated trend analysis, scenario planning, and strategic foresight to anticipate and address future challenges and opportunities.

The three-day workshop aims to develop a strategic plan aligned with MSU-TCTO’s vision, mission, and values. It prioritizes initiatives for growth from 2026 to 2030, promotes a culture of collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking, and enhances the institution’s capacity for strategic planning in dynamic environments.

The resource team from MSU-IIT, led by the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives, Dr. Mark Anthony J. Torres, included Dir. Melgie A. Alas of the Office of Monitoring and Evaluation, Dir. Moh’d Asrin Tabao from the Office of Planning and Development, Dir. Farrah Marie Erazo of the Quality Assurance Management Services, and Sec. Mark June Aporador from Monitoring and Evaluation. They provided expertise in institutional planning, policy formulation, and quality assurance.

This initiative aims to ensure that MSU-TCTO remains relevant, competitive, and proactive in its preparation for the next five years (2026-2030).
