The MSU Tawi-Tawi is proud to congratulate Mr. Edriane Shane M. Casipong, President of the MSU-TCTO Supreme Student Council (SSC) and the Federation of Mindanao State University System Supreme Student Council (FEMSUSSCO), as he officially took his oath as the Student Regent of the Mindanao State University System today, December 9 at the Commission on Higher Education.

As Student Regent, Honorable Casipong will sit as Member of the Board of Regents, the highest policymaking body of the Mindanao State University.

His leadership experience as Senator, Vice President and OIC-President of the Supreme Student Council has positioned himself as a dynamic leader to represent the entire studentry of the MSU system.

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.

MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Strengthening its commitment to community development and sustainable livelihoods, Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) on February 5, 2026, at the DBP Head Office in Makati City.
