Message of the Chancellor for the 2025 International Women's Day

"I send my warmest greetings to my fellow Filipinas and all the strong, proud, and beautiful women around the world.

Today, we celebrate International Women's Day 2025 with the theme "Accelerate Action." This theme profoundly resonates with us as we strive to shatter glass ceilings and create an empowering society for women.

We join this global celebration to honor women's extraordinary strength, resilience, and achievements in our community and worldwide. We also proudly honor our community of women here in Tawi-Tawi, who are committed to creating spaces where little girls and young ladies are made aware of their endless potential and talents. Your unwavering courage and relentless determination inspire us toward a brighter, more equitable future for all.

At MSU-TCTO, we're passionately committed to empowering young women to lead bright futures by breaking away from traditional norms. This is how we nurture women who are aware of their rights and equipped to make informed choices. Together, we're raising the standard of living for families and fostering an optimistic, confident generation.

We have made remarkable strides, but our journey is just beginning. Let us fiercely stand united against violence, bias, and inequality in all its forms. We must recognize, protect, uphold, and empower the rights of every woman—especially those who are marginalized and often overlooked. Together, we can create a world where all women flourish and thrive, breaking the chains of oppression and shining a light on the existing injustices. Our fight is essential, and it is far from over.

We hope that in the future, our young girls, ladies, and women will confidently make a lasting impact on our communities as they thrive in their careers, make educated choices, and be recognized for their contributions.

Let us stand together, men and women, to create a world where every woman feels safe, valued, and empowered. Happy International Women's Day!"
