LOOK: Asst. Prof. Fernigil L. Colicol, PhD, is set to deliver a presentation at the Comparative Education and Students Critical Leadership Society (CESCLS) and Lakbay Pananaliksik event on February 19, 2025, via the Zoom platform. He will be sharing his insightful research titled "Pragmatism as Basis of the Integration of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices in the Philippine K-12 Indigenous Peoples Education Program: Problematizing and Ways Forward."

Dr. Colicol will share his expertise alongside various scholars, educators, and students who are keen on exploring the complexities of indigenous education in the country.

The session will set to provide a critical analysis of the role of pragmatism in integrating Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP) within the Philippine education system, highlighting both challenges and potential solutions.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
