Happy 57th ASEAN Founding Anniversary! Celebrate with us as we honor this ASEAN Month with a spectacular fusion of culture, literature, and unity! On August 24, 2024, MSU TCTO presents the Southeast Asian Literary and Cultural Festival with the theme: “Bridging Borders: Connecting Tawi-Tawi’s Stories with ASEAN Narratives.” This event promises a day filled with cultural richness and cross-border connections! Join us at the Henry V. Kong Gymnasium for a dynamic lineup of cultural performances and presentations from various colleges, celebrating the diverse tapestry of Southeast Asian heritage. This event is organized in collaboration with the MSU TCTO Office of International Linkages (OIL), Cultural Affairs Office (CAO), Gender and Development (GAD) Office, American Corner, Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWAK), Sama Studies Center and Mindanao Creative and Cultural Workers Group, Inc. MSU TCTO Chancellor Recognized as the 1st Recipient in the Bangsamoro of AACCUP’s Highest Distinction

In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Champion Award 2026, the highest distinction granted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), during the 39th AACCUP National Conference and General Assembly held on March 24, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Metro Manila.

₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.

MSU TCTO, Development Bank of the Philippines Partner to Boost Livelihoods of Tawi-Tawi Farmers and Fisherfolk

MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Strengthening its commitment to community development and sustainable livelihoods, Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) on February 5, 2026, at the DBP Head Office in Makati City.
