Happy 57th ASEAN Founding Anniversary! Celebrate with us as we honor this ASEAN Month with a spectacular fusion of culture, literature, and unity! On August 24, 2024, MSU TCTO presents the Southeast Asian Literary and Cultural Festival with the theme: “Bridging Borders: Connecting Tawi-Tawi’s Stories with ASEAN Narratives.” This event promises a day filled with cultural richness and cross-border connections! Join us at the Henry V. Kong Gymnasium for a dynamic lineup of cultural performances and presentations from various colleges, celebrating the diverse tapestry of Southeast Asian heritage. This event is organized in collaboration with the MSU TCTO Office of International Linkages (OIL), Cultural Affairs Office (CAO), Gender and Development (GAD) Office, American Corner, Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWAK), Sama Studies Center and Mindanao Creative and Cultural Workers Group, Inc. Celebrate with us as we bridge borders and embrace our shared stories. See you there!

In recognition of excellence in quality assurance, University Chancellor Prof. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, Ph.D. was conferred the Manuel T. ₱85-M Halal Research Center to Rise at MSU TCTO, Advancing Halal Innovation in the Bangsamoro

Strengthening its commitment to research, innovation, and community-responsive development, the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) is set to establish a four-storey Halal Research Center with a total project investment of ₱85 million. The facility, which will have a 3,200-square-meter floor area, aims to serve as a hub for halal research, training, product development, and industry collaboration in the Bangsamoro region. Once completed, the Center is expected to support the growing demand for halal-certified products and services while advancing scientific research, professional training, and economic opportunities in the halal industry.
