From Aspiration to Achievement: MSU Tawi-Tawi’s Staff Promotion Ceremony

MSU Tawi-Tawi recently held a formal ceremony for the newly promoted and regularized administrative staff on December 26 at Maas Kamlon Hall.

Twenty-one (21) employees were awarded plantilla items and formally took their oath before the chancellor.

In his opening message, Admin Staff Union President Mr. Gerwin Tupas congratulated the newly promoted administrative staff. He commended their hard work and dedication, highlighting the significant contributions they have made to the university.

The following are the twenty-one (21) employees who have been regularized and promoted as approved by the MSU Board of Regents:

Abduljim B. Hassan II - Supervising Administrative Officer (Public Relations Officer IV)

Al-Qazwini J. Hadji - Supervising Administrative Officer (Budget Officer IV)

Al-Sudin A. Barik - Administrative Officer V (Human Resource Management Officer III)

Annuariza H. Hadi - Accountant II

Lenie Doll B. Tomial - Administrative Officer IV (Administrative Officer II)

Benhar S. Allama - Security Officer II

Hannan A. Casnor - College Librarian I

Aldin M. Caguioa - Administrative Officer (Public Relations Officer I)

Noor-Han N. Ulal - Planning Officer I

Sherhana A. Hasim - Administrative Assistant I (Secretary I)

Wati Sheena M. Bulkia - Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II)

Zenneth D. Drilon - Administrative Aide IV (Storekeeper)

Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali was present and congratulated the newly promoted and regularized admin staff. She emphasized the acronym

, which stands for

Gratefulness, Accountability, and Loyalty

, and highlighted that the promotion entails greater responsibility.

Representing the newly promoted administrative staff, Director Abduljim B. Hassan II of the Office of Information, Press and Publications delivered his message. He expressed his gratitude to the administration and shared his journey with the University. Dir. Hassan II reflected on his promotion, which he found beyond his imagination, and recounted his early roles and the significant support he received.

"Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. My journey with MSU TCTO began in 2016, and I have always been comfortable working behind the spotlight, contented to be part of others' success. This promotion is far beyond what I could imagine, but this is happening already."

Meanwhile, Ms. Wati Sheena M. Bulkia, a newly regularized administrative staff member, spoke about her personal journey. She recounted the challenges faced, highlighted her perseverance through hardships, and encouraged others to keep striving.

“I knew I had no choice, as my father was our sole provider. That experience taught me to stretch every peso, work harder, and aim higher."

The event served to highlight the hard work and dedication of the staff, inspiring all to continue striving for excellence in their roles at the University.
